About Us: We’re a New Orleans based ad agency with an amazing list of regional and national clients in the legal, tourism/hospitality and healthcare spaces, plus a few others. Our culture is vibrant and our staff has a strong bond with each other, our clients and the community. We are hybrid for those in NOLA, and remote (+ occasional visit) for non-locals. Reports to: Director of Media Buying

Role: Responsible for the daily planning, negotiation and implementation of media buys for assigned agency clients. Works closely with team consisting of media planner, account coordinator and accounting to ensure campaign goals are achieved through the flawless launch and management of initiatives. Buyer works with media reps, production teams and client to coordinate artwork delivery and management of traffic instructions.

Buying (Broadcast, Cable, Radio)

  • Participate in client, partner and account team meetings/management
  • Participate in internal strategy discussions, thinking
  • Develop new ideas, opportunities, solutions based on trends and shifts
  • Generate market/category research, inventory and cost trends
  • Create and distribute Avails Request
  • Set up Buy worksheet in Strata
  • Allocate daypart mix based on CPP efficiencies
  • Run Reach/Frequency in eTelmar for TV/Radio based on TRP levels, daypart mix and number of weeks
  • Create media buys in worksheet, update buy worksheet
  • Negotiate
  • Create/review/approve IOs, spec sheet, Flowcharts
  • Manage E-port (makegoods, sending, receiving & confirming orders)
  • Receive & manage creative
  • Drafting traffic instructions

Accounting

  • Assign electronic invoices to the correct order
  • Reconcile invoices (emailing/calling regarding discrepancies)
  • Address elevated media vendor invoice issues

Ongoing

  • Attend meetings (client, vendor, partner, team)
  • Webinars, Learning
