Full disclosure, I buy wine mostly based on whether or not the bottle has a cool label or fun name, but luckily for you I’ve done some of the leg work to help you select your next bottle.

Bacchus Pinot Noir
Not only is this a great every day wine, it’s named after the Roman god of wine and one of my favorite Mardi Gras parades. You can usually snag a bottle of this at Pearl Wine Bar in New Orleans.

Seven Deadly Zins Zinfandel
This is your new wine to drink with steak. Trust me. It’s heavy with a full oaky flavor that is dynamite for really almost any grilled meat.

Louis Jadot Beaujolais Villages
I found this guy in Whole Foods and took a chance based on the aforementioned “cool label” and “fun name” wine test. Turns out it was a great wine that paired really well with Brie cheese.

Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc
During the 10 months of the New Orleans calendar year when the weather is above 90 degrees, you can find me sipping something crisp like a Sauvignon Blanc or a Pinot Grigio. Joel has been my go-to guy for the past two summers.
